After an interior designer and a lighting rep gathered together for a business luncheon in early 2007 Common Thread Ministries began.  It started as a Bible Study ministering within the A & D community (Architects and Interior Designers) in Atlanta Georgia.

With the idea that as Christians we will have common employment, common interests, common goals, etc.  We believed, and still do, that these commonalities could be catalysts to bring us together to wholeheartedly seek the Lord.  We believe that when we seek Him, He will be found (Jeremiah 29:13, Deuteronomy 4:29)

In addition to the A & D Bible Study, we are now promoting Sons of Thunder prayer groups.  We hope that you will seek the Lord in both personal and group prayer.

In 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Galatians 3:28 Paul makes it plain that we are all “one body” since we are all “one in Christ.”  And so, in the spirit of Jude 3 where we have a “common salvation’”; Titus 1:4 “a common faith” and 1 Timothy 3:16 a “common confession” we ask you to join with us as we gather together and seek the Lord, “...the maker of us all.” (Proverbs 22:2).
